So good they named it twice!

After a long run up of fundraising, accommodation disasters, and conversations with airlines about flying a coffin across the pond, last month I finally touched down in New York.
Ready for my US debut, I was dazzled by the grand scale of the city in all its towering glory!
It’s exactly what you’d expect, and so much more. From steaming pavements, and profanity-shouting taxi drivers in their iconic yellow cars, to the sounds, the smells and the glittering lights of Times Square.
6 nights jam-packed full of sensible daytime meetings and extraordinary nights of titty-twirling glamour.

Le Poisson Rouge offered us our first taste of New York flavoured tease accompanied by the exciting realisation that the following night it would be my turn to titillate in good old Taboo fashion.
I was lucky enough to be landed with the fantastic venue that is the Brooklyn Bowl. Easily my favourite venue of the festival, though rather surreal to be shaking my behind whilst the sound of rolling balls echoed in the background…!

The show was fantastic fun, and it was delightful to meet some wonderful performers and a great crew. Special thanks goes to Angie Pontani and Jen Gapay for being wonderful hostesses and, of course, to the Bishop of Burlesque for being fantastically cool and collected throughout the entire event.
It would be criminal to leave without having squeezed in a few sights, and so amongst the glitter and glamour I stole some time for a special date with NYC.

It truly was an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to my inevitable return to the city that never sleeps.

Yours lovingly,
